Gyan Deep Vidyalaya, Birsanagar, is a Hindi medium Minority school situated in the outskirts of Jamshedpur city. This school was started as a primary school in 1980 with 50 students and 2 teachers in order to provide quality education to the children from less privileged in the surrounding villages. The school came under registered society, Sisters of Charity of Nazareth, Patna from the year 1998. It is unaided private school and follows the curriculum of State (Jharkhand) Board. In the beginning years the infrastructure was insufficient and students had to sit on the floor. Gradually, with the help from many generous individuals, other groups and from the registered society SCNP the school developed.
Goals:
- To inculcate some of the values such as self-respect, self-worth, devotion, faith & love through value education.
- To provide quality education to the marginalized children of Birsanagar and its neighboring areas.
- To bring forth or to develop the leadership / responsibility.
- To provide an education that contributes to faith formation of the Catholic students and moral education of all the other students.
- To provide an education that enables the young to evolve as women and men of character, competence, conscience, compassion, and commitment.
